Boredom.
A major problem with keeping up with Nutrition. Workouts. Stress Management.
Why do you think boredom is a common ailment for those changing their lifestyles? I have a theory.
Boredom=/=lack of variety (Though this is what I commonly hear.)
Boredom=lack of habit and buy in of your new lifestyle
When you are changing your behaviors, it is easy initially to just do what we tell you to do! You’ve never done it before. It is an easy challenge. It is interesting. You haven’t done something like this before. You have rewards for your learning.
When you start getting bored, you are not seeing the same rewards you once saw. You just eat because someone told you to do it. You just do your workout because someone told you to do it. You are lacking in energy because you are doing something you don’t want to do.
If you are changing your behavior and you still aren’t convinced it is for your longevity and health…
If you haven’t quite learned enough to understand how you can get better…
You either need to get creative or get a coach.
Creativity is the ability to see things differently and interestingly. It is an engaged knowledge. It is problem solving. It takes some effort intrinsically.
A coach will give you motivation and knowledge, so you don’t have to do it. They give you reasons for effort and remind you to give effort all the time.
Both of these options will shift your perceived need of variety. If they don’t…
Remember…
Boredom is lack of effort. Not lack of variety.
