2023 Prospect, Indiana Bulls Black Travel Club

We reached out to Teamwork because Brett needed to get faster and gain weight at the same time to maximize his potential in baseball. This was a challenge, as he is also a basketball player and he has struggled to put on size with all of the running involved.

The Teamwork coaches assisted us with obtaining supplements for Brett as well as helping him with proper food intake to help assist with weight gain. The coaches drastically improved his speed and agility, his 60 time, and he gained 10+ lbs of muscle over the summer! Not to mention, besides gaining the weight, he is also much faster and set a Teamwork record by running 3.05 in 25 yard sprint.

This was no easy task, as the world is going through a pandemic!  Rod and his staff adapted quickly and setup Zoom meetings that allowed Brett to train every day. They even loaned him equipment  to take equipment home for assistance.

Brett absolutely loves the training along with the benefits that come with it!  He talks about obtaining personal records and new goals he wants to set moving forward. He says the coaches push him to his limits and that he leaves the sessions drained but feeling accomplished.

I have personally recommended Teamwork to friends, teammates, and even  that he will be competing against.  With Teamwork Training 2-3 times a week, Brett with no doubt has gotten bigger, stronger, faster, and more athletic.  Just everything an athlete wants and needs!

1) What problems/issues/concerns were you facing prior to contacting us?
Growing up my height really gave me an advantage. At 6’3” I was heavily recruited but I was never the most athletic or the quickest on my team. I knew to play at the next level & to be successful I needed help! Fast forward 10 years later, Rod & his team are still helping me. As I go into my second year playing basketball overseas professionally Rod has given me tools that allow me to be successful on & off the court. As a professional, the biggest thing you worry about is taking care of your body. Nutrition, injury prevention, & strength training are all aspects I talk to Rod about now as I continue my career.

2) How did Rod and Teamwork help you remedy these issues?

I trained at Teamwork three times every week in high school. Rod and the coaches are BIG into detail. Whether I was doing agility, strength training, cardio, or injury prevention Rod was always right there next to me pushing me, but also to make sure I was performing exercises with proper form.

As a professional, I trained 4-5 times a week at Teamwork. Even as a professional he STILL pushes me outside my comfort zone. He cares about my wellbeing and wants me to be successful.

3) How did training improve your confidence and wellbeing?

After training, I grew tremendously both mentally and physically. When you accomplish a goal it’s one of the most fulfilling things. For me, it was to be the best athlete I could be, and Rod helped me achieve this goal. The thing that always stood out to me about Rod is he CARES. He was always SO excited when I achieved a goal in my life. Whether it was on or off the court. To have a support group in your life like Rod & his team I believe you can really reach your full potential as an athlete.

4) What results did you see as a result of our services?

Over the years I’ve achieved many goals athletically, and I credit them all to my discipline of improving my overall fitness. From winning two high school State Championships at Bedford North Lawrence, playing basketball collegiately at Michigan State, or playing professionally in Spain without Rod none of this would have been possible. He gave me all the tools at a young age to be successful.

5) How did you feel after training sessions?

After sessions, I always felt fulfilled. I had goals, dreams, aspirations, and Rod always pushed me out of my comfort zone to help me reach them.

6) Would you recommend us to a friend?

DEFINITELY. If you want to be successful in any sport nowadays you need to start working on your overall fitness at a young age. Rod & his team are a great fit!

Rod & his team do a great job of putting together workouts to fit your goals perfectly. Whether that be losing weight, improving strength or athleticism, or improving your all-around well-being they put you into situations where you will be successful.

Know if you’re working with Rod & his team you are working with the BEST sports performance group in Southern Indiana!

Work is NEVER complete

The work is NEVER complete! Not in sports and not in life.

Success leaves clues. What did Cooper do that most athletes don’t do? He committed to a plan. He stuck to the plan. He trusted his coaches and trained four days per week in the weight room and spent time on the court with his skills coach Jordan Basye. This was a LONG-term plan. Not six weeks, not a single summer, not six months, but close to SIX YEARS. Brick by brick.

Day by day…he built himself into a D1 Basketball player. He committed. Sometimes he trained when he was sore, he worked out when he was tired…he worked on his body and his strength year-round! Year after year.

Coop bought into eating right, taking care of his body, and he trained like an absolute monster for close to SIX years. Watching all of his hard work pay off is what brings a tear to my eye and a smile to my face.

But, like I said, the work is never complete…guys like Coop never “make it”. He will dig in and compete to get better every day, no matter what level he’s reached. I know he’s just getting started. #provethemwrong #TeamworkFam

Chelsie
Lindauer

Exceptional Work Ethic

Chelsie is one of our greatest success stories because she has built an exceptional work ethic. What shines about this athlete is her ability to make decisions for herself. She knows what she wants and she has worked consistently to reach her goals. Rarely do you meet such maturity and understanding of self-development at 15 years old.

When we met Chelsie, she was a bit shy. In fact, I wasn’t quite sure if she wanted to be in our program. She hung towards the back of the crowd she trained with. She joined during our All Women’s Program with some friends when she was in 8th grade.

We knew she was taking the program seriously, but she also was taking all the information she could in. She a little nervous and concerned about her busy schedule with practice and school workouts, but she was always willing to figure it out and move forward quickly. She’s a natural problem solver.

For over a year she trained several days per week. We addressed her movement quality, strength at her ankle/foot, and hips to protect her knees, and creating a stable and solid core. And now, at the young age of 15, she has changed herself to an EXPLOSIVE athlete. As you can see in the picture, the girl has got some power!

Chelsie is always in the gym. Always getting a little better in the during her season and out of season. We communicate with her parents about her progress. We talk with her. She is IMMERSED in the program and got every drip of progress out of her own motivation. What an incredible accomplishment for such a young person!

This year she played middle hitter because she could get super high with her blocks and she is considered a leader on the court for her intensity and focus. Who knows what her sophomore year will bring!

Quite a long way for the girl who hung towards the back of her crew her 8th-grade year.

Chels…we are VERY proud of you and excited for the success your high school years will bring! #TeamworkFam

Cassie
Hayes

Positive, Consistent, & Growing

This weekend I got to watch some of our athletes at a softball tournament locally and today I wanted to talk about the one on the left of this picture, Cassie Hayes.

Cassie started training with us during our All Girls Challenge which we hold every November. She had some weight training under her belt through the high school, but still wanted to get better and see what our program had to offer.

Notably, she ALWAYS, ALWAYS greets us with a smile and hard work. She takes coaching really well on the floor and continually makes sure she is SHOWING UP for her sessions. Even in the in-season.

When I watched her play this week, it was clear she was a leader. She provided energy. She encouraged team cohesiveness. She demonstrated a high level of athleticism. She had a confidence in her that was competitive edge and strength.

This weekend her team took the title and she will still be in the gym this week improving her body and her performance…continuing to be the leader she is.
